Introduction

The idea of this blog is to show part of the production of year 7B in English throughout the 2nd and 3rd bimesters of 2016. Individual and group productions are here included. Some of them relate to the field trip the students went on in the center of São Paulo city. The newsletter genre allowed students to futher explore their linguistic abilities by writing a variety of texts. In the TV News, students were able to enhance their speaking and listening skills and, as a whole, their skills for working in groups.

The sections:

My Last Vacation - Each group of students chose a text to represent their group in the newsletter.

São Paulo Field Trip - Students produced texts about the places visited in this trip which took place in August.

Introdução

A idea deste blog é mostrar parte da produção do 7o. ano B em Inglês ao longo do 2o e 3o bimestree de 2016. Foram incluídas produções individuais e em grupo, sendo algumas delas relacionadas ao Estudo de Meio ao centro de São Paulo. O gênero "newsletter" ou jornal escolar permitiu que os alunos explorassem suas habilidades linguisticas ao escrever uma variedade de textos. No "TV News" ou Jornal Televisivo, os alunos puderam aperfeiçoar suas habilidades de fala e escuta e, como um todo, as habilidades necessárias para o trabalho em grupo.

My Last Vacation - Cada grupo escolheu dentre seus textos sobre suas férias um que representasse o grupo. 

São Paulo Field Trip - Os alunos produziram textos a respeito de diferentes lugares visitados no Estudo de Meio realizado em agosto.

Sé Cathedral

The students of 7ºB went to center of São Paulo and there they visit the Ground Zero and Sé Cathedral, and they saw how big it is. They saw its stained glasses,all of its interior and  the crypt,where are buried Tibiriça the first indian that was catechized, and a lot of bishops and priests.

Sé Cathedral

        

         It was inaugurated  in 1954. It's one of the oldest Cathedrals of São Paulo. In the Cathedral there are a lot of stained glass and texts in latin. In the cript of the Cathedral, there are the bodies of people who helped in the construction of the city of São Paulo. They helped in the Cathedral too. In the temple there are panphlets for you to understand the history of the Cathedral. 

Chá Viaduct was the first viaduct of São Paulo city. It is located in the Valley of Anhangabaú in the center of São Paulo. It was designed by Frenchman Jules Martins in 1877 , but it was only opened on November 6 , 1892. Initially the construction was designed with metal frames, which gave way to the use until the old structure was replaced by concrete beams present today.

 My Vacations

BONITO

My vacations were really nice. I enjoyed them a lot and the weather there was very nice and warm. I went to Bonito and went floating on several lakes and beautiful waterfalls with crystal clear water, and I would have done the scuba diving but the best part of my vacation was to spend time with people I love.

MY LAST VACATION

My vacation was wonderful. I liked it because I went to an aquatic park, I swam, and the weather was hot because it was in Olimpia, São Paulo.

I didn't ride a horse, go to the mall or go to the cinema, but I rode a bike and I walked.

The best thing about my vacation was the trip with my mom, my dad and my brother to the aquatic park, in Olimpia. The name of the aquatic park was”THERMAS DOS LARANJAIS”.

I liked my vacation. It was good.

Vacations

Hello, my name is Gabriel, today I’m going to tell about my vacation.

On the first day, I slept in my aunt’s apartment, then, I went to the pool and I played soccer with my friends.

Afterthat, I went to Guaruja. My aunt has a house there. We went to the beaches, we ate typical foods and we went to the mall.

When we got back, me and my mother went to the shopping mall, then we watched Ghostbuster’s. (I liked so much the movie!!!) and afterwards we watched Ice Age: The Big Bang. I didn’t like it so much, because I think this film is for kids.

On the same day, me and my friend went to the Cordeiro’s Park. I played soccer and I made many friends.

My uncle and my aunt took me to Campos do Jordão. I liked so much this place! The constructions were very old but the city was beautiful.  

In the last week, I watched Flash and Arrow with my mom.

In my vacation

In my vacation, I went to California. I visited the cities of San Francisco and San Jose. There I went to the University of San Jose to study English. I  loved to learn more English. And visit new places.

Alcatraz

 I went to the Alcatraz prison. I went to the Golden Gate Bridge. The American practiced sports there. I also went to the Six Flags. I went to a baseball game and to the Levi's Stadium. And also to the amusement park called Santa Cruz. I visited the company of Google, Intel and Apple. 

               

Santa Cruz 

I met a lot of people from around the world including people from Asia, Europe and America.  We went to a lot of malls around the city. We played a lot of games including night games. I went to the beach. I went to the Imax cinema and to the Technology museum. And visited a lot of wonderful places.

I don't know which I liked the best. But, I loved my trip.
